Discovering Blocks To Change With Hypnosis
Many who come to me for hypnosis have had enough of their specific issue and they are ready for a new approach. After years of trying various prescription drugs talk therapy and other alternative remedies they still seem to have a difficult time changing their behavior. With hypnosis a simple shift in the subconscious can do the trick and I send them happily on their way. Unfortunately there are times when nothing seems to work for them. Some people block results because they get a benefit from remaining in the status quo. This benefit is mostly unconscious hidden deep inside working against them.
Below are some of the hidden blocks that could delay or prevent success in any process. Since the subconscious mind is not logical the conscious mind has a hard time discovering the culprit that is holding them back.
1. Conditioning and Habit Humans are creatures of habit and resist change. Most people do not like to leave their comfort zone even if the zone is filled will despair or sickness. Since we do not know the future the mind makes predictions based on the past. If we did not have money the relationship the health or the body before the mind has a hard time projecting something different into the future. We are scared of the unknown. The mind simply takes a copy of yesterday and inserts it into today. We get locked into a certain way of being that is hard to change. This subtle benefit of avoiding the challenge of change can be quite powerful in keeping us from our dreams.
2. Being the Victim Some people are very comfortable in the victim role and love to complain to their family and friends about their life. If circumstances improved they would lose the benefit of getting attention for their dramatic tales. Sadly there are some people who get a thrill out of sharing their life drama around the water cooler at work. Why do you think the reality shows are so popular? It is easy to wallow in a bad situation and blame the world. To look inside honestly and accept the responsibility for your life takes true courage.
3. Preparation and Readiness Some think they are ready to change but have not cleared the way completely for the transition to occur in their life. I find that most people who have done some previous forms of therapy easily shift behavior because they have done most of the foundation work. Some have more processing to do and the results may come slower. Building a firm foundation is critical for longterm success in any life change. By giving up too soon they get the benefit of avoiding all the innerwork required to reach their goals. They are really not ready to roll up their sleeves and look under the hood of their subconscious.
4. Resentment of the Past Although life is filled with ups and downs some people tend to hang on to the past mistakes of others parents exspouses or friendships that keep them stuck in the past. The lack of forgiveness holds them hostage to the pain the person caused them. Forgiveness isn’t about letting someone off the hook but it is letting go of the pain they are feeling toward that situation. As people hold on to hate anger and resentment they are sending out that feeling into the world to attract more of it to them. Being stuck in the past prevents them from having a wonderful happy abundant life. They get a benefit from the suffering because they feel it proves that the other person ruined their life. I hear people tell me that they want the other person to suffer for what they had done. Unfortunately the one who is in the most despair is the person holding the resentment.
5. The Love of Therapy You may think this is funny or odd but some people love to be in therapy. The benefit they get from holding on to their problems so they can continue to see their therapist or talk about themselves. Some people are really lonely and find their therapist is their only ally in the world. Getting better would mean no need for therapy and sometimes that is enough to keep them from completely reaching their goals.
There are other specific benefits that people get from avoiding change. Some payoffs that were uncovered in sessions shocked my clients! Once discovered and brought to conscious awareness it is easier to start shifting in a new direction. The goal of hypnosis is to find and release those blocks so the path can be cleared for a new future. The depth of trance or technique used has little impact on the results. Even though hypnosis can seem magical results are directly related to how ready the person is for a new experience. Not even the greatest hypnotist in the world can take away someone’s pain. The person has to be willing to let it go.

Developing Personal Excellence
Developing Personal Excellence
With regard to excellence its not enough to know but we must try to have and use it. Aristotle
Developing excellence doesnt happen overnight. There are no quick and easy ways to develop excellence in our families lives or careers. We cant attend a seminar and as a result magically become excellent. We cant read a book and have it all figured out in a day. And we cant just tell ourselves we have excellence and then automatically possess it. Developing excellence takes time; its hard work and can take a lifetime to develop.
The word excellence is defined as the quality of excelling possessing good qualities in high degree. It also means to excel in something. The word excellent means something is very good of its kind eminently good or first class. In other words something that is excellent is superior.
Excellence is not perfection. Its not performing flawlessly or without mistakes. Excellence is a process and developing excellence is a mindset a mindset that says Im working toward excelling at something and I desire to possess good qualities in high degree. It can also mean that I am striving to be excellent a mindset that says I want to be very good at what I do. I want my life and work to be superior.
Developing excellence is a process in which we strive to excel and live a life full of good qualities. Excellence is not a onetime event its a way of life. And to possess anything in high degree or to be first class we need to practice.
Practice
In my own life I havent always liked to practice. This is probably the reason I was never good in sports. I always wanted to be good without the practice it took to get good. I wanted results without the work. Unfortunately thats not possible. To achieve anything in life we must work at it. We must practice it. And then we become excellent.
Ive spent many years trying to do things quickly and wanting results fast. When I published my first book I wrote it quickly got it published and went out into the marketplace to begin selling it. I didnt do any research ask for any feedback or make a plan as to how I would sell it. I just did it.
And while Im glad I did it I would do it differently if I had it to do over again. I would have taken more time asked for feedback and done research on books similar to mine. I would have asked more questions taken more time to brainstorm and been willing to be critiqued.
Live Without Regret
Being excellent also means living without regret. And even though I would do it differently today I do not regret publishing my first book. Its been a huge success and Im proud of my accomplishment.
I believe developing excellence means we learn from the past and use it to excel in our future endeavors. Its not about bashing ourselves for past mistakes that only keeps us from developing excellence. Developing excellence means learning from the past deciding what worked and what could have worked better and then applying our learnings to future projects.
Some of the things I learned from my first publishing experience can apply to all areas of my life.
I learned to slow down and think through any project before forging ahead.
I learned to let go of my need for immediate results.
I learned to look at the big picture before moving ahead.
I learned to ask for help and to get feedback from people I trust.
I learned to research my ideas and the resources available.
Another Chance
One of the neatest things about developing excellence is that we always have another chance were never done. Developing excellence is a work in progress.
I now have an opportunity to apply what I learned from my first book and use the knowledge as I begin writing my second book. I did my homework this time. I asked for feedback held a focus group and researched my market. Ive also taken the time to let my ideas come to life and to really think about the focus of my book its audience and the results I desire through this publishing effort.
It feels good to be able to put into practice some new ways of developing excellence. I know my business will never be perfect but Im committed to continually developing excellence in business and in my personal life.
And as you take steps to further create excellence in you life remember to practice live without regret and take full advantage of second chances.
7 Keys to Developing Excellence
Take the time. Excellence takes time. Be patient with yourself as results do not always come overnight.
Think through the process. No matter what type of project you are undertaking be sure to think through the entire process. Look at the big picture or end results before diving in.
Be persistent. Keep moving forward despite setbacks. Things will get in the way thats life. Just keep moving ahead and youll develop more excellence in your life.
Ask for feedback. Receiving feedback is a great way to make sure your project will get the results you desire and it may keep you from going down the wrong path. Though receiving feedback is not always fun just remember it will help you develop excellence.
Study excellence. Research your ideas as well as any experts in your field. There are people out there who have accomplished what you want to accomplish study them. Learn how they accomplished their goals and look for the ways they were excellent.
Practice new techniques. Practice makes excellence. You will never be perfect at anything but you can be excellent at many things.
Celebrate small successes. Its essential to recognize your achievements no matter how small. If you have taken steps toward excellence development and have results applaud yourself!

Boost Your Soul Intuition With This Nutritional Charge
As soul travelers we sometimes live in a state of suspended emotion…rather lack thereof. Where has your intuitive expert led you? We often get so caught up in the rigors of everyday life that we sometimes forget to focus on our Divine intuition. If you are still and you listen to your intuitive expert you can begin manifesting good health and wealth prosperity. Easier said than done eh? Not really.
An old Native American parable presents a metaphorical analogy using two wolves. In the story a grandfather talks of the ongoing internal struggles of the self. He explains that each of the wolves represents very opposing emotions; one representing our negative emotions the other our positive emotions. He explains how the battle rages inside; when one of his grandchildren asks him “Which wolf wins?” The grandfather replies “The one you feed.” This simple Native American philosophy explains how individuals using their intuitive expert can achieve health and wealth prosperity by merely feeding the right emotion. What emotion have you been feeding?
The more we practice meditating on increasing good health and increasing wealth the more effected we become by our positive emotions. As an intuitive expert you begin to manifest your hearts desires. Breaking free from our suspended emotions takes commitment and effort. Are you dedicated enough to make the move toward achieving your goals?
Become an intuitive expert and manifest wealth in more ways than one. You clearly start seeing and realizing your hopes and aspirations. You must first believe your natural instincts and allow your intuitive expert to guide your ambition and your life passage toward achieving extraordinary results. Your Divine intuition is what gives you the nutritional charge to feed your positive emotions; which in turn helps you in manifesting good health and attaining the prosperity that you seek.
Feed the positive wolf in your soul with positive affirmations and intentional focus. Your intuitive expert is right where you are…just reach within and listen to its voice of freedom. Break the chains of your suspended emotions and become healthy wealthy and happy.
