Does The Road To Success Lie Through Failure? It Can According To Billionaire Bill Bartmann

Most people don’t value their failures…but Bill Bartmann does. In fact when it comes to failure and success no one knows the ropes better than he does. If that seems a little exaggerated it’s not. Among other life changes Bartmann pulled himself from abject poverty to become the 25th wealthiest man in America.

“I’ve had a very interesting life” Bartmann says. “I’ve gone from being unemployed and almost unemployable to employing more than 10000 people. I’ve gone from being a million dollars in the hole and bankrupt to being over a billion dollars to the good.”

And that’s just the beginning. Bartmann who has earned recognition from numerous institutions as well as a permanent place in the Smithsonian Institute’s Museum of American History says his mission is to share his success strategies with as many people as possible.

“I’ve seen both sides of success and failure and I’ve seen both of them up close and personal” says Bartmann. “It’s because I’ve seen them and have learned some things during my journey that I want to share the things I’ve learned with the hope that it will provide some value for the people in the audience.”

Because he’s known more than his share of hard times Bartmann says he teaches people how to react to adversity in a way that makes their lives better.

“Most of us don’t know how to react to the things that happen to us. We go into shock” he says. “We want to grab a bottle or grab a gun or grab a razor blade because we fall into despair or despondency. I show people none of that stuff is necessary.”

Bartmann also says the way to dealing with adversity is deceptively simple.

“The simplest way to deal with adversity is to raise your selfconfidence. If you can do that then when things happen around you you have the strength and the resolve to be able to deal with them honestly and straightup” Bartmann says.

While Bartmann admits he can’t fix everyone’s problems he does want to help make their lives easier.

“I’m not a psychologist” he stresses. “I’m not trying to cure all the ills of the world but I do want to be able to talk to people oneonone to let them understand there is somebody out there who’s been through the stuff they’re going through and there are some very simple things you can do that will make your life so much easier.”

“I’ve had more failures than anyone else I’ve met in my whole life but I’ve also had more successes than most people because I’ve learned how to deal with my failures” Bartmann concludes. “That’s what I want to show people.

Development Of Self Through Development Of Mind And Voice

The discovery of self is one of the most crucial aspects of an individual’s life. This is because self refers to an individual’s consciousness. And how the person perceives the world around him moreover it plays an important role in the development of an individual’s life. The development can be in the form of selfperception selfawareness and selfidentity.

Also the selfdevelopment embraces the development of one’s competence and potentials. Moreover the processes of selfdevelopment are ordered and widens with the realization of one’s potency and limitations. This advancement is incessant aiming at the capitalizing on strengths and play down on weakness and helping an individual realize his potential.

The theory of selfdevelopment is also well defined in the words of Sigmund Freud the father of psychoanalysis. He gave the theory relating to the working and development of a human mind and stated that our mind is divided into three parts namely consciousness sub consciousness and unconsciousness. Consciousness is what we think feel or do through our conscious mind.

Every individual has the ability to react but it depends on the person to person as each individual react differently to the same situations or the same individual may react in a different way in the same circumstances. This ability is a precursor of consciousness. Whereas sub consciousness may be defined as thoughts which operate or exist out of the conscious mind? Sometimes despite our hard and sincere efforts thoughts keep creeping in our mind of jealousy anger and covetousness.

All these are a part of our subconscious mind. However unconsciousness refers to the trouncing of consciousness and an individual in this phase fails to react to the stimuli. During unconsciousness the working of mind cannot be controlled as there is free flow of thoughts which no matter how much the person tries hard fails to do so.

But one thing which is in the hands of the personage is that he or she can try and keep the negative and impure thoughts. Feelings like hatred lust envy sloth and gluttony can be ceased with the practice of meditation yoga selfless work and devotion. These practices help in pouring clean and health thoughts relating to God selfsacrifice and Philanthropy. This in turn helps in the process of selfdevelopment which makes a better human out of a being.

However the process of selfdevelopment is not easy as even if you clear your conscious mind of all the down beating thoughts. This is because it is more related with our sub conscious mind and it takes a considerable amount of hard work and time to make your subconscious mind free from the dirt which has been dwelling since many years.

Endurance and firmness are the prerequisite which one needs as it is not a day or two processes. During the process of development of mind one has to feel many negative effects also. However one does not have a fret as these are temporary and can be resolved with the aid of an instructor friends and spiritual groups.

If one is trained at knowing the working of his or her mind not only will the personality and the mindset of the people improve but also the process of selfdevelopment will be initiated at a faster rate.

Undoubtedly the process of mind development is the key to selfdevelopment as it ensure the all round development of an individual’s personage making him compatible to both the personal and professional life. The person who become aware of the selfdevelopment he or she can easily attain success and positive outlook towards life.

Can You Hit A 95mph Fastball?

Massimo and I were having coffee. Out of the blue he says to me can you hit a 95 mph fastball? If it is possible I guess we can always go down to Safeco Field I answer. Perhaps we can find one of the Mariners pitchers to throw us batting practice and take a shot at a couple of pitches.

Our conversation gets me thinking about how we approach things that seem impossible. I mean really what are the chances I can hit a fastball going almost hundred miles an hour? What were the chances of getting a pitcher to actually throw pitches to us? At the pitching places the fastest machines only pitch at about 65 mph. Regardless of whether we actually found someone or not the idea that were actually willing to go down there and give it a shot encourages me.

I figure if Massimo and I go to Safeco Field and go to batting practice maybe we’ll get lucky. What happens if we get a bloop single or throw the bat in front of the ball and get a bunt? Hey it could happen.

I realize our chances of hitting the ball are really slim maybe less than slim. But at least if we are actually there it is a possibility. It reminded me a lot of selling things door to door. You have to figure sooner or later somebody was going to buy what you’re selling. But if you didnt knock on any doors you were certain that you wouldnt sell anything.

So we start talking about how we seem to limit our chances with our own negative self talk. I know there isn’t much of a chance for a hit and maybe that chance will be 1 or 2 but I do know one thing

if we dont go down to the field there is a 100 chance we won’t get a hit.

I guess the point of our whole discussion over coffee was to remember who we listen to and how we let them affect us. If we listen to everyone who told us we couldnt do something we probably wouldnt accomplish anything and that person would be right.

We decided right then and there it was time to say no mas. The next time somebody says we cant do something our answer is going to be: You know what we’re going to Safeco Field have a nice day!
